Editorial and corrections policy
Standards
- Neutral and factual. We describe what happened and what reliable sources say about it. We do not comment, campaign or speculate, and we do not rate companies.
- Attribution. Claims are attributed to whoever makes them. Unless a court or regulator has ruled, allegations are presented as allegations.
- Both sides. When a company or authority responds — including denials — the response is included.
- Privacy. We do not name private individuals: not victims, relatives, suspects, defendants, employees or witnesses. We never name or identify minors or their families. Public figures and organisations may be named when the sources do.
- Suicide and self-harm. We follow international safe-reporting guidance: calm headlines, no details of method or location, no single-cause framing, and help-line numbers on the page.
- No harmful material. We do not show images or video from incidents, deepfakes, or links to sites that spread non-consensual intimate images.
- Independence. No advertising, sponsorship or affiliate income. We do not collect tips from victims and we are not connected to any law firm or advocacy group.
- AI disclosure. Every page states that it was written and translated by AI and checked automatically, without a human editor.
Corrections and removal requests
Anyone can send a request with the correction and removal form. We do not ask for your name or email address.
- If an entry may identify a private person, it is taken offline immediately and then reviewed against its sources. It returns only if it is supported by its sources and does not identify anyone.
- Other requests (factual errors, outdated information, other removal requests) are reviewed against the sources. The entry is kept, corrected or removed.
- Requests are processed automatically, usually within an hour. The request text is treated only as a claim to check; it cannot change a page by itself.
- When an entry has been reviewed after a request, the page says so and shows the date.
- To limit abuse, each connection can send up to five requests a day, and at most ten entries a day can be taken offline automatically; requests beyond that are still reviewed.
- Request data is deleted after 30 days. See the privacy notice.
