Privacy notice
We collect as little data as possible.
Visiting the site
- No cookies are set by this site, and there are no advertising or social-media trackers.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying or tracking individual visitors across sites. It is not loaded if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, and you can turn it off below.
- The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, under its own privacy policy.
- If you dismiss the language suggestion bar, your browser remembers that choice locally (local storage). It is never sent to us.
Correction and removal requests
When you use the correction and removal form we store:
- the incident link or number, the type of request and the text you write;
- the page language;
- a one-way hash of your IP address made with a random value that exists for one day only, used solely to limit each connection to five requests a day. We never store the IP address itself; the daily random value is deleted after the day ends, after which the hash can no longer be linked to an address.
We do not ask for your name or email address; please do not include personal or sensitive information in your message. To decide on a request, its text and the entry concerned are sent to an AI model provider through our processing service; they are not used for any other purpose. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated spam; Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser for that purpose. Requests are deleted 30 days after they are received. A public log records only what was done (for example "kept" or "corrected"), never the request text. Deletion runs automatically every hour.
Legal basis and your rights
We process this data because we have a legitimate interest in correcting errors and preventing abuse of the form. Providing it is voluntary. Decisions on requests concern the published entry, not you. You can object or ask a question using the same form (because requests are anonymous, we generally cannot find a specific earlier request), and you can complain to a data-protection authority. Data is processed by Cloudflare (hosting, security, form protection and analytics) and, for reviewing requests, by an AI model provider; this may involve transfers outside your country.
Because we do not collect names or contact details, we generally cannot link stored data to you. If you have a question about this notice, use the correction and removal form.
